Slipknot Prepare For Hell Tour

Slipknot Plays Heavy MTL. Slipknot is a band that demands to be heard. This year, catch the pioneers of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal as they embark on their Slipknot Prepare for Hell Tour, which will take them to venues such as Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau (for the city’s HEAVY MTL festival), Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, and Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. Don’t miss being a part of the tumultuous and turbulent live performances that Slipknot is famous for!

By utilizing an aggressive musical style, disturbing lyrical imagery, chaotic live performances, and profoundly disquieting attire, Slipknot have distinguished themselves from other heavy metal bands. Slipknot have produced a message that resonates to nonconforming misfits, enlightened outcasts, and all those who dare to dance to the beat of their own drum. Over the years, the members of the band have proudly embraced their own insanity, and have forced their voice into America’s diverse musical landscape.

But never has that singular voice resonated with such ferocity and such intensity than on the group’s latest release.

In October 2014, Slipknot returned with their fifth major label studio album .5: The Gray Chapter. Featuring the hits “The Devil in I” and “The Negative One”, .5: The Gray Chapter is dedicated to founding bassist Paul Gray, who passed away in 2010. Slipknot has always been adept at transforming pain into art, and that gift is ever-present on the new album. .5: The Gray Chapter is an exploration of loss, rage, grief, and strife, and is littered with stunningly brutal masterpieces.
Moreover, it is a certified commercial success, as it is the band’s second album to debut at the top of the US Billboard 200. The album has gained universal critical acclaim, with many critics praising the return of the band’s early sound.
