U2 The Innocence + Experience Tour

With several additional dates expected to be added to the tour, keep checking in for all the latest news on U2 the Innocence + Experience Tour, and don’t miss the opportunity to see the biggest band in the world live in concert!

Just when you thought that U2 had nothing fresh to offer the music scene, the members of the band went along and crafted one of the most lyrically profound, sonically ingenious, and musically relevant studio albums in their extensive discography.

In September 2014, U2 added another stellar album to their musical discography; Songs of Innocence, the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2010’s No Line on the Horizon. The release of Songs of Innocence was marked by a notorious iTunes giveaway, which made the record available to over 500 million iTunes customers. The giveaway was marketed as the largest album release in history. Still, despite the wild controversy and heavy media scrutiny that defined its release, Songs of Innocence still received several glowing reviews, and proved to be highly commercially successful.

Songs of Innocence was a product of the band’s intense struggle to remain musically relevant. Following the lukewarm response to No Line on the Horizon, the band was left pondering whether they had lost the spark that had carried them to superstardom in their heyday. In response to this struggle, U2 produced an album representing the core of their emotional being, and dug up sorrow that lay dormant for decades, thus leading to a deeply personal album that is wrought with themes such as friendship, mortality, love, and grief.

Now, to promote their latest effort, U2 is embarking on the Innocence + Experience Tour. The ambitious tour will take the band to celebrated venues such as Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, Montreal’s Bell Centre, and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.
