Montreal has quite a lot to be proud about. A rich history. An impressive multicultural community. A thriving arts and culture scene. While Montreal boasts many accomplishments, it is undeniable that one of the island’s greatest triumphs is the fact that it was the place where Sugar Sammy was born and raised.

From comedy routines that have taken him across the world, to creating the first large-scale Anglo-Franco comedy in Canada, Sugar Sammy has done it all. He’s established himself as a phenomenal entertainer, and one of the funniest performers in comedy.

Recently, Sammy picked up his second Olivier award for Comedian of the Year. Sammy first took home an Olivier, which recognizes the talent of comedians from the province of Quebec, in 2013. In May 2013, Sugar Sammy wowed the world by becoming the first English comedian to post win at Quebec’s Olivier awards.

Sugar Sammy has come a long way and, this year, he’ll be making his way back home several times. Sammy is scheduled to perform at Montreal’s Olympia Theatre throughout the year. Find out what everyone’s talking about, and experience Montreal’s side-splitting treasure!
