Bastille in Montreal

Updated: December 18, 2016

All it took was one song to transform Bastille from relatively unknown indie rockers to one of the most popular bands in contemporary music.

Released as the fourth single from the quartet’s 2013 debut album Bad Blood, “Pompeii” became a seminal force in pop culture. The smash hit debuted at number two on the U.K. Singles Chart, and has been certified double platinum in the U.S. The strength of “Pompeii” catapulted Bastille into the mainstream and significantly increased the sales and international recognition of Bad Blood. Even today, you’d be hard-pressed to avoid the song’s formidable presence on the airways.

In the time since the release of the single, Bastille have been crowned the Best Breakout Act at the BRIT Awards, as well as toured incessantly across the globe and released a critically acclaimed sophomore album that rivals the creativity and emotional resonance of Bad Blood. Released on September 9th 2016, Wild World cements the group’s status as the next big thing in music. The sophomore effort topped the charts in the United Kingdom and reached number four on the U.S. Billboard 200.

This year, you can witness the ascension of the Britpop band as they solidify their tremendous popularity in North America with a new tour designed to promote Wild World. The band is set to perform at venues such as Montreal’s Bell Centre, Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, and Vancouver’s Thunderbird Sports Centre.

Don’t miss the beginning of a new phenomenon!
